Pre-First Year in Engineering and Science (PREF) and the Academic Summer Enhancement (ASE) Summer Bridge Programs are seeking academic facilitators for the Summer of 2018. Subjects include introductory college level Math, Physics, and Chemistry. The primary responsibilities will be introducing and promoting the concept of independent learning to program students, assisting program students in the development of strategies in independent learning, identifying resources and strategies that ensure academic success, and providing learning support and tutoring. Academic facilitators will also be responsible for assisting course instructors in curriculum design and assessment of assigned course for incoming first year students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math across both a six week and a four week session. Candidates must have the appropriate academic credentials and relevant subject matter expertise. Applicants should possess excellent written/oral communication skills and must be committed to helping underrepresented students realize their potential.
