This position will support the Catering Manager in the day to day operations of the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, finalizing all details for an event including menu, catering supplies, and staffing. Must be able to manage high profile catering events on and off campus including setup, execution and clean up. Must be able to follow direction on setups of displays including buffet and hors d'oeuvres to ensure quality food presentation and appearance. Candidate must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work nights and weekends. Candidate must be detail oriented, organized, provide excellent customer service and be able to give direction to the catering staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be willing to work under pressure, stand and walk for extended periods of time with some heavy lifting required. Previous experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. Will be working with FOODPRO and Caterease Food Service Programs. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties.
