The Penn State Information Technology Marketing and Public Relations Team is looking for a detail-oriented, strategic thinker to serve as a Graduate Assistant to focus on analytics and marketing data. Qualified candidates are required to be organized and detail-oriented; with strong oral and written communication skills and work ethic. This team member will report directly to the Director of IT Marketing and Public Relations and will be responsible for analyzing campaign analytics, helping with data quality analysis, building dashboards, and identifying areas for optimization and further integration. Additional knowledge in interpreting social media analytics, tracking website performance through google analytics, and experience with Search Engine Optimization and Google Adwords are a plus. Responsibilities include: Pulling and analyze campaign analytics from Google Analytics and other platform reporting tools to provide data-driven recommendations for campaign and strategy optimizations; Meeting regularly with team members responsible for digital media, traditional media, geo-targeted media, and social media, to gain insights on strategies and to brainstorm opportunities; and assist with the development of standard reports for marketing leadership. Requirements include: Previous experience or coursework in marketing and data analysis; general understanding of digital and traditional advertising media and campaigns; familiarity with campaign and website analytics.
