The Office of Education Abroad (EA), located with Global Programs at University Park, is the primary administrative office facilitating education abroad endeavors at all of Penn State's campuses. EA professionals manage semester and year long, summer, faculty-led and embedded programs inclusive of recruitment, advising, record keeping, in addition to financial and administrative duties. EA is a fast-paced and student-centered environment, that works to serve credit bearing study experiences abroad. This position will manage the Education Abroad Peer Adviser Program and support the advising staff in serving the approximately 1,200 students who visit the office for study abroad advising each semester. The EA Peer Adviser program is made up of 14 to 15 diverse undergraduate returned study abroad students who volunteer help in outreach initiatives and serve as a resource to students interested in study abroad. Peer Advisers hold daily walk in appointments, respond to general inquiries from students and their families, represent the office at events, give presentations and perform classroom visits.
