The College of Nursing is seeking an experienced team-player to serve as a Nurse/Nurse Practitioner for a newly awarded grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) Seeking highly motivated individual with an extrovert personality and skills in aging care/elderly population. Using a wide variety of techniques and services, GWEP works as a team to ensure we provide the best care for our patients evaluating the 4-M's, What Matters, Mobility, Medication, and mentation and families of patients with ADRD. This individual must be willing to work with a team, has excellent interpersonal communication skills, and genuinely cares about helping others and will lead by example. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who is a leader of a team. A good candidate will enjoy working in a medical and educational environment. Responsibilities: The education and training component consists of overseeing the development and execution of creation, dynamic, innovative, evidence-based trainings for different audiences. Training needs include health care providers at partner sites that will receive telehealth services, creation of training for health care providers, students, families and trainings as needed for community stakeholders. The nurse coordinator will work with an instructional designer to create hybrid courses that allow for distance education for some topics. Other duties include establishing a training program delivery timeline, overseeing the development of high-quality work products from support staff, providing clinical support and guidance with consultations, planning and delivery of trainings, and collaborating with the overall project team to advance the GWEP team towards its project goals. Qualifications: This is a part-time position and requires a Master's degree and national certification as an FNP or Adult Gero NP plus a minimum of three or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional training or certification in geriatrics is highly preferred. Candidates must hold an active NP license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or obtain Pennsylvania licensure upon hire. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities is required. This individual must have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. The position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to function to advance grant objectives in coordination with the grant investigators. Attention to detail and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. This position involves some travel and candidates must have a valid driver's license.
