Overview Support technology initiatives by providing technical expertise to the users of various automated business applications. Supports information systems including analyzing, developing, and implementing hardware and software solutions to meet users' requirements. Responsibilities Essential Duties Providing technical assistance to users of employee computing systems and local area networks. Assisting other Information Technology staff to correct any software or hardware problems with employee computing applications on the corporate network Ensuring all open problems are reported to the manager on a timely basis. Assist in performing hardware and software upgrades for employee computing applications. Assisting with network, telecom, and location project integrations and installations. Working closely with other Information Technology staff to learn new technologies. Analyzing products and recommending the use of new products and services. Assisting in maintaining the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network performance, security and backup procedures. Assisting in major Information Technology projects at assigned locations. Supporting technical projects at corporate locations within area of responsibility. Developing a level of expertise in the design and support of local area and wide area networks. Act as mentor to insure the efficient and effective operations of System Technicians. Guiding and advising System Technicians in the more complex phases of their work. Overseeing the day to day functions of Information Technology within the area of responsibility. Assume responsibility for projects within area of responsibility and assign project tasks to other Information Technology employees as appropriate. Receiving assignments from manager in the form of projects with general objectives defined. Keeping manager advised of progress of all projects on a timely basis. Performing duties generally requested of administrative staff employees. Providing thorough documentation and timely updates within the Information Technology ticketing system. Qualifications Education Associate Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Relevant degree pertaining to the essential duties of this role. (Required) Experience 3 or more years personal computing workstation maintenance, as well as business application software packages. (Required) 3 or more years telecommunications systems. (Required) Ability to travel 50%-60% throughout PA and MD locations. (Required) Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit (Preferred) Certifications Microsoft or other technical certifications or commensurate experience.
