Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to implement, monitor and maintain various physical security technology systems, including alarms, surveillance and access controls. The incumbent will monitor proper installation and operation, provide systems administration of security applications and hardware, oversee service requests, perform quality control reviews, and provide support to customers and employees to resolve security-related technical issues .

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Implement IT security systems installations, upgrades and repairs, engage external service providers to schedule and oversee work, coordinate with internal departments regarding service and project scheduling, respond to related questions.
  • Utilize and administer various IT software systems to monitor security, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues , engage internal IT resources and external vendors as required and ensure resolution.
  • Support physical security initiatives by providing research, cognitive support, recommendations and feedback.
  • Perform quality control reviews including risk area certifications, surveillance verification, location risk assessments, lighting surveys and related assignments.
  • Respond to emergencies and other critical incidents, ensure adherence to documented security program, applicable regulations, and departmental and corporate policies and procedures, serves on department on-call/after hour rotation.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor Degree - Specialty: Criminal Justice, Information Technology or other applicable. (Preferred)
  • Associate Degree - Specialty: Criminal Justice, Information Technology or other applicable. (Required)
  • Experience

  • 3 or more years Security Systems or Information Technology experience. (Required)
  • Prior experience utilizing and administering various software systems to monitor security, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues , engage internal IT resources and external vendors as required and ensure resolution. (Required).
  • Availability for after hours on-call rotating schedule 1-2 weeks per month. (Required)
  • Prior Project Managementexperience with monitoringproper installation and operation, systems administration of security applications and hardware , oversee service requests, perform quality control reviews, and provide support to customers and employees to resolve security-related technical issues. (Preferred)
  • This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
