THE POSITION





This technical/consultant position is responsible for planning and organizing the Bureau of Community Health System's Environmental Health program in the Southcentral District. This position services Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntington, Juniata, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry and York counties.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK





The Environmental Health program covers but is not limited to the organized camp program, local health program (which includes local health officers), right-to-know program (R-2-K), provide consultation and technical guidance, program development and activities, collaboration on the public bathing place program, and emergency response team member. Travel on a routine basis throughout a 12-13 county area to enforce the public bathing program, participate in environmental health investigations.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of professional environmental protection or environmental health program experience; and a bachelors's degree in a natural, physical, chemical, or biological science, or a closely related field;ORan equivalent combination of experience and training
